Are there any console gamers who use a k ...

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever set that up. I think that would feel a bit awkward, personally. Does Resistance 2 support keyboard and mouse controls? Are there any console gamers who use a k ...
from what I heard, very few console FPS's even support KB/M...Are there any console gamers who use a k ...
I think only Unreal Tournament PS3 supports KB/M
You can get that Splitfish Frag FX or somthing o' rather, that adds mouse controls to your PS3.The COD4 PS3 leaderboards is dominated by someone who uses it.
Not me, but it's gotten to the point that the only place I will play a FPS is on the pc and the wii now. I just can't do dual analog anymore.

[/QUOTE]You could do so much better with that implemented. If I played my friends over XBox Live (if I actually got a 360) and they saw my mad Mouse and Keyboard skills, they'd think I was amazing without realizing that I'm not using a controller. But when we play split-screen, they'd wonder why I suck so much. You could dominate all the console players.

I've been thinking about getting a system, but this issue has been holding me back. I'm glad to see it's being discussed. It's been awhile since this thread has been active. Has PlayStation or Xbox made advances toward implementing a keyboard or mouse for their consoles?

if consoles fully supported mouse and keyboard for fps i would defiantly buy one in a second just so i could go and own the console noobs with there dual analogs. Aim assist won't save you from DJ_Headshots wrath :D
Nope. I looked at the SplitFish, but ended up ruling it out for a few reasons:
  1. The new versions don't have the mousepad with the handle on it for use on the couch, and I'm not going to set up a table just to use a mouse.
  2. Almost no PS3 games natively support it, and hacking up some faked analog input sounds pretty awful to me.
  3. In the end, a controller isn't as precise as a mouse, but the difference just doesn't feel big enough to justify ****ing with a mouse.
That said, I'm waiting for someone to perfect the FPS gamepad - left side has an analog and D-pad, right side has A/B/X/Y buttons and a decent-size trackball, like the old Logitech Marble. Couple that with true native support (as mandated by the platform vendor) and you'd have a great console FPS controller.
there are many adapters which can be used. But nobody uses them.

yeah but they don't offer true 1:1 mouse movement just emulate the analog movements onto the mouse. And not to mention there will be mouse acceleration in every game.
