Traded in PS3 for 360

After 2 years I'd had enough. Owning a PS3 was boring due to the lack of exclusives with any gameplay depth or longevity. They just seem to be terrribly overrated action/adventures like MGS4, more recently Uncharted 2 and Batman Arkam Asylum. Impressive but...shallow. GTA 4 is really the only amazing game to appear on the system. There's also a depressing graphical consistency, a sort of washed out, pixellated look, as if the console still can't do anti-aliasing. Will anyone ever be able to programme around that dated graphics chip and take advantage of the CPU? Hopefully... it's been a while, maybe it's not possible. So I'm playing Mass Effect on the 360 now, after ages. It's truely a classic with real atmosphere. Also looking forward to Lost Odyssey and FF13, being a sucker for a decent J-RPG.For those who think the PS3 is just coming into it's own, it's the future etc, look at the current releases and think how long it's been out. IMO Sony thought that comsumers would buy it as a blue-ray player and console combined, not a games console primarily, and that has had an effect on what kind of games have been (and will be) made for it.Traded in PS3 for 360

And the failure rate of Xbox360's are at about 5%, in which is not much higher than the Ps3's, which is at 4% I believe.
And at the moment, Mass Effect 2 looks like it'll be one of the best games of this year. I like Ps3, but first MAG flops and now WKC flopped. It's making me pretty nervous about the games coming out this year.

GTA4 has glitches, and it gets a 10, ME2 has glitches, and loses marks for it. WKC might not be getting stellar reviews, but it just came out today so its way too early to call that a flop.By the way, your percentages on failure rates made me laugh.
I've had a blast with AC2, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls since I got my PS3 on christmas, so I don't know what the TC is complaining about.

it might not have gotten that 10 if it was reviewed today, i still dont get why they thought it was a good game
i would never understand the point in trading/selling consoles to get another one.

my 60 gig ps3broke. and i just got my 250 gig slim today. and i forgot how boring the ps3 was. i got on psn thinking there would be a ton of demos and stuff to try after 3 months of not having a ps3. and there is nothing at all.... in 3 months!!! i feel like i just bought a over priced blu ray player right now. least till i go buy uncharted 2 this weekend.



if i just got my 360 back after it being dead for 3 months there would be a ton of stuff to do like demos, arcade trails, at least something to hold me off till the weekend.

Yeah, it sucks that the PS3 isn't a video game console, or you would be able to keep yourself occupied between demos by playing video games.

I had 3 RROD's and sold my 4th for a PS3 and could not be happier so I am the opposite of TC. Really TC there are some great games that fit your criteria but you dont talk about them. Have you tried Valkyria Chronicles or Demon Souls because they will fill that RPG void better than just about anything else. ME is solid so I can understand wanting to play that but overall I still prefer the PS3 exclusives but that is my opinion, and maybe I should blog it.

Oh wait...[/QUOTE] i just paid 350 plus money for a 3 year warrenty*dead 60 gig=170 dollar repair bill** monday morning. no way i wouldnt spend extra for a warrenty this time. nothing is safe this gen. they are all junk hardware imo. so there went the extra money for a game.... i would play some of my older games. but i sold them to friends because i really didnt think i was gonna get another ps3 after my first 1 died. i do have some of my psn games redownloading now. one is ff7 something i didnt even get to install before my 60 gig died. lol

If i'm wrong, then i have no problem admitting it. Just a 1% difference with everything i've seen and heard seemed hard to imagine. No worries man.
