Why isn't Bioshock 2 not getting the hyp ...

I haven't seen any hype threads, posts or anyone talking about this game. Why is this? Why isn't Bioshock 2 not getting the hyp ...
like i said, still getting all AAA and up reviews so far, and will easily win my ''most underappreciated game'' award for the year. Why isn't Bioshock 2 not getting the hyp ...
The original was more groundbreaking as one of the first ''next gen'' games to take full advantage of new tech. Add to that a spicy, unique setting and you make heads turn. Bioshock 2 won't have that advantage anymore.I'm sure it will be great, the first is one of my favourite games of all time. But I don't feel any need for the sequel in my collection and I think its actually been overhyped in some places.

Well done for playing it.
Easy its not a x360 exclusive this time we all know how much fanboys like to hype exclusive games
I have no idea. Especially after the latest launch trailer on GT recently--http://www.gametrailers.com/video/launch-trailer-bioshock-2/61531That made me wish they held out on making it until next gen came around--I gladly would've waited if I was sure it would look that good. Regardless, it's a pretty amazing trailer and i'm a little surprised that didn't help generate more hype here(which would've surely happen with a few other games I won't bother to name). I can't wait to buy this game myself. Maybe people are too busy enjoy ME2 or something.
the first bioshock was announced for the pc and 360. this one is for the pc, 360, and ps3. less reason to hype it this way.

pretty sure i dont need to play it to see that its going to be good. when 10 reviews are out, and they are all AAA or better, its probably not a gamble on its quality. if it was getting mag reviews, then i could see the distrust. also, try and disprove that the game is getting no love on the forums. you cant.
It's better that way. Too much hype leads to hate later on. People can go in this one and be pleasantly surprised.
Easy its not a x360 exclusive this time we all know how much fanboys like to hype exclusive games
it was never a 360 exclusive.

What has this got to do with it. Anyway, play it before you make judgement.

Well, I do remember back then people did shun the PS3 for not having Bioshock - just like what people do now with PS3 not having Mass Effect 2.
I think it comes down to four reasons:1. The game is no longer a ''console exclusive''. Exclusive games (even if they are also on PC)get more hype. Once a game goes multiplatform some of the hype from the fanboys dies down.2) it isn't as fresh as the original, rapture and the world of Bioshock is now more familiar. It is extremely rare for lighting to strike twice3) Some of the choices made in regards to the franchise have been questionable, such as the addition of unnecessary multiplayer, and a new developer (well sorta).4) A lot of ppl think the original game was a great stand alone game and shouldn't have a sequel
Whatever the reasons are, I personally am hyped. In fact, I just came back with a pre-ordered PS3 special edition receipt. :D
The snazziest thread out there 8)so, yes, there are threads. and I really don't care about hype, I still want this game.

Bioshock 2 isn't going down the same road
You messed up the title. It should be:

Why isn't Bioshock 2 getting the hype the first got?

Or

Why is Bioshock 2 not getting the hype the first got?

Take either ''isn't'' or ''not'' out.

Would be funny if Me2 went down the Bioshock road and made it's way to ps3.

Simply hilarious. Or you could just get a 360 or PC.
