if that's true then the gap has actually widened since last year, as i recall it got down to something like 5-6 million last year, 8 million was about where we were in 2008

Umm the gap was 8 million before the PS3 price cut and size reduction, so you're telling me that 360 managed to sell just as much as PS3 WW in the past 3 months? Something about 360's sales just doesn't add up, the past 3 months it was clear to everyone that PS3 is kicking 360's arse worldwide and yet the gap is still 8 million.

My younger sister just bought a 360. PS3 wasn't even considered.

So the PS3 only closed the gap by 2 million consoles in FOUR YEARS.



Considering 2009 and 2008 were bigger for PS3 than for Xbox 360 and it still manage to make no significant gains, 2010 is looking to be good year for MSFT since there is Natal and Halo Reach and a rumored price drop...



I doubt the PS3 will ever surpass the 360 before this generation is up.

AFAIK, PS3 production was hugely ramped up before the Slim.

Going at this rate it won't outsell 360 with God of War III , Gran Turismo 5 being the only real system sellers.



Don't think there are many more game that can push consoles on PS3 other than those two and Agent, Versus XIII, Persona 5, Syphon Filter. :|
