Standards change. The PS3 with the number of AAA titles as the PS2 would be as good. But PS2 games now don't make a better console.

In many ways, PS3 arguably IS the best console... on its very own merits... there is no reasonable need ( anymore ) for PS3 owners to have an inferiority complex... the machine is a beast...
i agree. you would think that sony would want to associate the ps3 with the ps2 as much as possible.
The ps2 was the best console for its time. Trouble is, that time is gone. Play a lot of those titles today and you'll find that they have aged. Standards and such have changed. I have lots of classics and I like them, butI really don't play any of them anymore.

Hey my 60gb ps3 does that, WOOT! I never use BC though bc ps3 has too many good games to go back to ps2 and psone games

I got one of those, too. I figured I'd buy the 60gb because it had full BC. Had to grab one before they discontinued it!
