(We all know Saints>Colts, but anyway...)I keep hearing rumours about the God of War 3 trailer actually premiering contrary to belief during the Superbowl, then an HQ version being released later on on Gametrailers on the 11th? It's just like the Halo 3 trailer being played during the superbowl. It's great advertising, if you can afford it............God of War 3 trailer premiering during S ...
Expensive but watched by many, in America anyway....
Expensive but watched by many, in America anyway....
It actually makes sense though, considering that everyone who's seen the new demo says it's not very long, but amazing, which would fit very well in the time-frame of the Superbowl. That and seeing this:during the Superbowl would be TITANIC.
Expensive but watched by many, in America anyway....
Yeah, it's about 1.2 million actually.

What? Im pretty sure more than 1.2 million people watch the Super Bowl. It's one of the most watched events in the US

This Superbowl is actually estimated to have the most viewers in Superbowl history (more than 100 million).

^That's where I first heard it, other sources are mostly second hand knowledge. Though, you're probably not going to get official confirmation until it is ACTUALLY shown simply because they are probably going for what Halo 3 went for during the Superbowl (how UNEXPECTED was that?). Just think about it, why would they delay the trailer from it's initial release date, WITHOUT reason if they are simply going to show it at a later date with regular marketing? That and God of War 3 has had little to no advertisements and the game comes out in a little over 6 weeks. It'd be suicidal for Sony to miss such an opportunity. Oh, and the fact that about 99.99999% of Sony rumours turn out to be.
I'm sure someone along the line though ''well if Uncharted 2 sold 2 million simply from being shown on the threatre screen, then how much could God of War 3 benefit from being shown at the Superbowl?''

Na, I wish Sony would do that but they are cheap bastards, there were rumors last year too about Killzone 2 being advertised during Super Bowl but it was BS
Na, I wish Sony would do that but they are cheap bastards, there were rumors last year too about Killzone 2 being advertised during Super Bowl but it was BS
Yeah, but it wasn't nearly the same situation, nor would it have had the same impact. Just using basic logic, everything points to it being shown during the Superbowl. Actual evidence in the past that Killzone 2 lacked besides numerous rumours around the net?:-The trailer that was supposed to be shown January 18th, without reason, was simply delayed without even as much as a reply to why. Before that day, SCEA's Jeff released a statement saying: ''The trailer will not be tomorrow, but there be new coverage and content,'' It would not only be anti-climatic, but a poor move on Sony's part to move it forward just for it to premiere on Gametrailers a few weeks later.-On Kotaku, it was first reported that a new trailer of God of War 3 will be shown on February 11th, a mere four days after the Superbowl. Note they did not say it will premiere: ''That malevolent eye, and the chain-sword-swinging arms that go with it, will be showing off a new God of War III trailer come Feb. 11 on Spike's GameTrailers TV.''-Sony has done little to no marketing with this game, and even with their history of poor marketing, it would be suicidal not to atleast attempt it in some form considering what they did with Uncharted 2.-They've announced about a billion bundles for the game, which would lead one to presume they are betting that this one will sell very well. But yet again, this isn't confirmation, it's all speculation. But I have to repeat, that you will probably not get any official confirmation if this happens simply because it would be counter productive. Letting everyone know ahead of time would kill the suspense, and effect of simply wowing everyone.
sorry guys.. no gow trailer during the superbowl:( trust me;)
sorry guys.. no gow trailer during the superbowl:( trust me;)
Unless you have a press release or source that states otherwise besides ''Sony isn't smart enough.'', then your word has no ground because everything points differently. And I hate to be redundant, but when was the last time a big Sony rumour since 2009 didn't turn out to be true? Face it, Sony sucks when it comes to keeping secrets.
We should have a GoW3 Super Bowl Trailer Hype Thread where we choose whether or not Sony will release the GoW3 trailer during the superbowl :P
