I don't know how I feel about this. played Mag, the battlefield and AVP demo and everyone talks. Not sure how I feel about this yet. So far everyone seems to be pretty mature but its only a matter of time until you run into a legion ignoramouses and children like on XBLSo People Are Talking Regularly On PSN N ...
there are also some annoying kids on MAG, some of us were even telling someone to deepen his voice on the audio menu because he sounded like a annoying 9 y/o girl.So People Are Talking Regularly On PSN N ...
talking yes, regularly i am afraid not, i was playing mag and out of 256 people playing domination there was only me and like 8 other people with mics, thats still pritty sad nuimbers compared to xbox live where you stand out if you dont have a mic
i was playing mag and out of 256 people playing domination there was only me and like 8 other people with mics, thats still pritty sad nuimbers compared to xbox live where you stand out if you dont have a mic
I thought you can only hear your squad's mic's.I havn't really played online on my ps3 since uncharted 2 and most of the people I played with had mic's.
I mostly play SOCOM online and if you dont have a mic you most likely will get voted out, so mics are huge for me. I hate when I play something else and get paired up with someone that does not have a mic, I feel like they are wasting my time.

I personally like it when people don't talk. This one douche bag kept singing all through my MW2 match. I quit after that match. Sure, I could have muted him, but he could have just had to courtesy to not be a douche.
I'm just doing the math say i am in or squad leader of delta squad there is usually just me and maybe one other person with a mic thats 1 or 2 in 8 people who have a mic, then when i switch to squad leader chat there maybe another leader with a mic, in a game that is centred around working together and communication 90% of the people dont have mic's which is just stupid
I was playing MAG, and this guy constantly told use what to do, i was impressed by the communication.
I don't have a mic, and I won't waste my money on one (which should of been included in the steep price range when I first got my PS3).
There is a lot of people on Skate 2 with mics. Mostly little kids though, but they are usually pretty cool and not annoying like the ones I meet on Steam.
there are also some annoying kids on MAG, some of us were even telling someone to deepen his voice on the audio menu because he sounded like a annoying 9 y/o girl.
so just coz he sounded like a girl that means he was annoying? i think every kid should stop playing games so you are not annoyed :| i mean seriously a kid messing around is one thing but saying the kid is annoying just coz of his voice is just stupid. when you have a son what will you tell him? ''hey son, shut up. your voice is annoying, deepen your voice or never talk to me again'' :lol:there is no reason to call that kid annoying unless he was screaming on the mic or something. i played socom with some 4 year old kid and he was communcating the most, telling enemy positions and stuff. would i tell him to deepen his voice coz hes annoying me?
I was playing Socom Confrontation recently and it was actually rare to find someone without a mic.
The PS3 community is generally older than the 360 community. So I expect less problems with dumb people.
There are some Kids on Modern Warfare 2 and MAG.But last night I had trouble figuring out if there was a girl on Uncharted 2 or a kid that has a girlish voice.
Lol, who cares? If you have friends then it is as if people are always talking in PSN.
Really? I havent seen a change in the amount of people talking since September. Hell, even I dont talk online, just a few GS/PSN friends.

i love the complete assumption based off of nothing, generally neither system really has an age demographic, except for the wii, both 360/ps3 are pretty much sold to the same age groups, with very similar tastes.
What you have is a load of 360 gamers buying the PS3 as a second console now it's cheaper so they're bringing their better habbits with them i.e. communicating for better gameplay. On Live you can choose who you hear voice chat from - friends only, everyone or no one and also whether it comes through headest only, the TV speakers or both. I haven't checked PSN but if it can do the same then that should please everyone shouldn't it?I don't roll with this PSN is more mature idea as it has its share of prats just like XBL.

What I do think makes the difference is with every Xbox purchase you get a headset so every one has one. With PSN you have to buy a mic so it weeds out the people who can't afford them, or don't take the games serious enough to spend $20 or more for a headset.
