Mass Effect is a good RPG except ONE THI ...

So, I only own PS3 and PC, and I haven't played Mass Effect, but after seeing the review of ME2 (95 on Gamerankings) I want to try the game, but after seeing the comment, many people ask me to play the first before playing the second, so here I am buying ME 1 and finally playing it on my PC...So far, I think ME is a very good RPG, except one thing: The elevators! The elevators in Mass Effect are suck like hell, everytime you pop in, you have to wait for almost 10 seconds, and the worst thing is you have to ride the elevator a lot! Not only in the city, in the Normandy, in the other planet, in the dungeon, you will have to use elevators. A LOT. Seriously, I never seen a game with so much elevators like Mass Effect, when you arrived at ice-planet (forget the name) everything you do is walking-talking-elevator-kill enemy-moving-elevator-kill enemy-moving-elevator-talking-kill enemy-moving-elevator etc...I think this is quite an issue, and me is the type of gamer who like to walking around the city just for exploring, with the elevators in Mass Effect, exploring levels is not as fun as you do in Fallout 3. This is quite a pity considering ME has very good story and very good characters. So, what about ME 2? Is the elevators still suck in ME2? I'm still confused wheter to buy ME 2 or Heavy Rain actually...Mass Effect is a good RPG except ONE THI ...

I think Bioware taking out elevator scenes in ME2 was probably the biggest misunderstanding this gen. When we were complaining in 2007, we were talking about the frequency of the load times and their length. We werent actually saying we dont want elevator scenes. So instead of Bioware doing something about that, they got rid of all the elevator scenes and replaced them with quick tip loading ones. But the things we complained about before, are still there (frequent and long loading).Regarding the topic question,on my second playthrough i used the citadel transport device so i barely saw elevator scenes. Im suprised more people dont say this.

I though that I'm the only one who prefers the elevators on the loading screens :p I thought it was cool to listen to the news headlines in the Citadel's elevators.

ya the elevators are a pain they take forever
They should just replay the sex scene between Shephard and Liara or Ashley during the elevator moments.
