Anyone remember Alpha Protocol?

I was so ready for Alpha Protocol last year, I was severly dissapointed to hear that it got delayed. Anyway it's 2010 now and if I remember correctly they said it would be released sometime during late Q1 or Q2, so it's not that far off! I was just wondering if anybody else remembered it and is also planning on getting it when it FINALLY comes out?Anyone remember Alpha Protocol?
I do and I still want it. I find it comfertating that the devs said to themselves ''maybe its not ready'' and delayed to make it a better game.Anyone remember Alpha Protocol?
Yeah, they delayed it to make it better, hope it's good.
I still want this game badly. Obsidian is second only to Bioware when it comes to RPGs.
Pretty sure they said either May or June. Should get announced within the next month.
I remember it, looks interesting to me. It kind of looks like a Mass Effect clone in everything from gameplay and dialogue system to user interface only set as a spy game. That could be a good thing though because Mass Effect is sweet. Obsidian has a good relationship with Bioware (made sequels to Bioware games) so I'm sure Bioware isn't too offended

Or as the PR people at SEGA put it ''release it at a better time frame for the gamers'' or something like that? Probably better to assume what you said was the reason for the delay :P

I haven't played an Obsidian game but they are tight with Bioware and AP looks like ME from gameplay prospective
I am very happy they delayed it. They said it didnt feel enough like an RPG, and i for one to not want an RPG that does not feel like and RPG. Also it was being released in the middle of a bunch of high profile games, it would have been lost in translation. I think the delay is the best thing that happened to the game.
This game look a lot like Mass Effect.Do want.

Me too. Nothing wrong with clones. I loved Dark Sector, which is a Gears clone. I actually think that I liked Dark Sector just as much as the Gears games. Glaive FTW
I've been amped for it ever since I heard about it. Obsidian made KOTOR2 which I thought blew KOTOR1 out the water for story and characters. AP has been described as a more action focused version of ME1 set in the modern day with spies. I guess that now you could describe it as ME2 with modern day spies. If they haven't fallen off in their story telling and characters, AP could be an amazing game.

KOTOR2 had some technical problems due to a very rushed development cycle but Obsidian has been working on AP for a while and it got delayed a few months back for ''more polish'' and I think Sega said something like, ''to give it a AAA treatment''... whatever that means. Hopefully all of that means it won't be buggy like KOTOR2. Regardless, it's a day one purchase for me.
If it's anywhere near ME2....do want.

ditto
YES! I most definitely remember it! And i cant wait for it. The Borne Trilogy is one of my favorites of all time, and this game reminds me of it... Hopefully its as good as i expect it to be. And to answer one of your questions i believe its June 2010
I've been so excited you have no idea. I haven't heard any info since the delay (which was also pretty silent), but I'm hoping it can reach its release date and it can be a better, more polished game. Last gameplay I saw the explosions were PS2 like and enemy animations seemed iffy. I'm definitely hoping for some new info so I know it won't get further delayed until it becomes the next Duke Nukem, then again thats just worse case scenario and its too early for that.
Yes, I had it pre-ordered and paid for before it got delayed...again. I am now cautiously optimistic, but hoping that it will still turn out to be solid.

I'll be getting Alpha Protocol. Not day one, of course. I will get it during a crazy steam sale.

Bioware has been working with a lot of those people since the days of Black Isle and their work on Baldur's Gate. Then, after the closing of Black Isle, Obsidian made sequels to Bioware's Neverwinter Nights and Knights of the Old Republic. They're a pretty tight knit couple that work perfectly.
