Every year there are new threads started ...

gamers and casual gamers/baseball fans have bought a PS3 specifically for MLB The Show.....a system for one game.....outside of systemwars, the reality of the situation is MLB The Show is a system seller because the best version of a Baseball game (heck sports game) is only available for the PS3.can any of you name other games that have caused posters to buy a Next Gen system for just one game...and post about it.Halo maybe.....Gran Turismo maybe....MGS4?....but what else...examples from a simple google searchIm Absolutely NUTS...I just went out and bought a PS3 for this game!! http://www.operationsports.com/forums/scea-sports-mlb/355699-im-absolutely-nuts-i-just-went-out-bought-ps3-game.htmlThose that bought PS3 just for The Show 09 http://www.operationsports.com/forums/scea-sports-mlb/341834-those-bought-ps3-just-show-09-a.html
sure its fine and all for fanboys to go back and forth about this game just for bragging rights or whatever....but I just hope some don't actually believe that the PS3 and PS2/PSP versions are actually similar.....besides having Baseball gameplay and presentation....there for not even giving the PS3 version a chance......by some who say that both are the same (some by some who haven't even played them) I think that is disrespectful to the devs who put ALOT of tech into this series from wind physics that affect gameplay... to realistic graphics.....most devs are not pushing much in next Gen, especially sports devs *cough* Madden *cough*....but Sony San Diego is improving this game every year. and its the only native 1080p/60fps game released in the past 2 years...that is in a huge setting....and has HDR, SelfShadow, and much more..so again...are there other threads started in other forums about people buy a whole system just for one game?I think when some start to list examples, my point will be made.Every year there are new threads started ...

Wait so the point of this thread about how MLB on the PS3 is much better than the PSP/PS2 versions or listing examples of games that make people buy game systems just to play that game? If it is the latter then I'll say Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, it worked for me :).
